Amanda Crecelius was elected treasurer of the Iowa State Education Association in October 2019.
Amanda is a special education teacher at Davenport North High School, a position she has held since 2009. She began her career in 2004 working as a paraprofessional for the Davenport Community School District.
Amanda is a National Board Certified teacher specializing in Exceptional Needs/Early Childhood through Young Adulthood. She earned her MS in Special Education from Western Illinois University, her BA in History Education from Saint Ambrose and her associate degree in Education from Scott Community College.
Amanda is the political action chair and building representative for the Davenport Education Association, a former vice president of the DEA and member of its executive board. She is a member of the ISEA Executive Board, initially as Great River UniServ Unit representative and now as treasurer.
