NBC: Differentiation in Instruction-Component 2 Support Class is a 1-credit hour National Board Certification course focusing on Component 2 with Component 1 embedded in and designed to:

  • Provide teachers and counselors pursuing National Board Certification with important information about the certification process and specific Components;
  • Examine Component 2: Differentiation in Instruction and Assessment Center requirements for Component 1: Content Knowledge; and
  • Provide guidance as candidates gather aspects of performance that are directly observable and measurable through evidence and written commentary and prepare to submit.


All in a supportive, constructive, and collegial environment! Teachers who attain National Board Certification would be eligible to earn $2500 annually for up to 10 years, as well as state subsidized funding for the component registration fees.

Please note: Additional time may be needed so that instructors can assist as candidates prepare and finalize materials.
