Due to the current COVID crisis, the delivery format of this course will occur online via Zoom. Periodic breaks and a 1/2 hour lunch break will be given.
This 1-credit hour course reviews Ethics as defined by the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners.
Participants examine various ethical situations along with actual cases that the Board has addressed.Topics include: technology do’s and don’ts; contracts and resignations; relationships with students, parents, and colleagues; and the dichotomy of a school employee’s life. It includes a method to use when making decisions and is a highly interactive course.
This class is available for License Renewal, Paraeducator or Audit credit.
It cannot be taken for Graduate credit.
